Kat

Kat Swinscoe

Certified Esthetician

Kat and her husband moved to the Comox Valley four years ago, after many years in Victoria.  They both feel very fortunate to live in the Comox Valley where they can lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Kat received her certification at the British Esthetics & Body Work School in Victoria.  She then had the opportunity to go to France and Germany to study how esthetics & wellness go hand in hand.  This approach made so much more sense to Kat; that esthetics is not only on the ‘outside’, and that the ‘inside’ matters in every treatment.

After 10 years of owning and operating her own spa within a Victoria hotel, Kat was able to sell the business and began consulting for spa development in other hotels.  That job took her internationally and she was able to learn many wellness cultures, product lines and expand her own hands-on craft.

Kat worked for one year doing esthetics in a local Resort Spa, and is now pleased to join the very talented and experienced team at Sereia Day Spa.

When Kat is not working, she and her husband spend time discovering the Comox Valley or cuddling with Tessie the cat, and watching a good movie.  They have relatives all over Vancouver Island, and enjoy being able to connect with family for good food and much laughter.

Rhianna Featherstone

Registered Massage Therapist

In my quest to better understand how the body works, I have been studying healing modalities in mind, body and soul for the last 30 years.

Graduating from WCCMT in 1995, my massage style has evolved to incorporate a variety of techniques pulled from different traditions such as Swedish, Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology, Reiki, Active Release Therapy, and Facilitated Stretching. All these techniques blend together in a relaxing, calming session designed to bring balance to your body.

Throughout my own health journey, I came to learn how much nutrition played a role. I went back to school and got a degree in Holistic Nutrition and studied under traditional healers and herbalists to learn how we can improve our health naturally.

Whether your treatment objectives are pain management, rehabilitation, stress relief or relaxation, let me help you achieve your health goals. I incorporate a variety of massage techniques with a wealth of knowledge about diet, exercise, and home care to give you the tools you need to live your life to your greatest potential.

In my spare time, I love to learn. I am always enrolled in at least one or two courses at any given time. Traveling and learning about other cultures has been a lifelong passion and I have been blessed to see a fair bit of our beautiful planet. Nature is definitely my happy place; I kayak and visit beaches or forests as often as possible. At home, being creative is important to me so I try and make some time each day to do something artistic or musical.

Connor

Connor Carruthers

Registered Massage Therapist

Connor grew up in the Lower Mainland for the majority of his life, only recently moving to the Comox Valley in 2022.

Connor started his massage journey in 2012 by enrolling in a Spa Therapy program through the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage.  While taking this program, he learned a myriad of techniques and modalities to build the base of his massage knowledge.
Wanting to take the next step, Connor set off to become an RMT and graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2016 and has been practicing ever since.

While working in the Resort & Spa industry for the last 8 years, Connor has refined his massage techniques, blending together the scientific treatment of orthopedic ailments with the Holistic approach of addressing the “Big Picture”.

When Connor is not working, he spends much of his time with his wife and daughter or spending time at the climbing gym or at a rock wall outdoors.

Isabelle Campbell

Registered Massage Therapist

Isabelle was born and raised in the Comox Valley. She was first introduced to massage therapy after a serious skiing injury and was fascinated by the benefits and level of care that an RMT can provide their patients.

After five years of working in the hospitality industry, she attended MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Edmonton, AB and received her 2200-Hour diploma in June 2021. Isabelle has been practicing with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia since June 2022, prior to which she worked as a massage provider at a local high end spa resort.

Applying a careful and gentle approach to healing through touch, Isabelle has an attention to detail that her patients notice immediately. She is passionate about giving her patients the education and tools they need for a successful recovery. Isabelle loves sharing and applying her vast knowledge of modalities, including Swedish massage, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, joint mobilization, and remedial exercise.

Isabelle is looking forward to meeting you and being a part of your path towards health and happiness.
